Ray Andrews

Ray Andrews established Melbourne-based Andrews Group in 1986. Andrews Group’s research-led approach has helped organisations, over most industries, confront a diversity of marketing and communication challenges. Ray has over 30 years experience in marketing communications.
Career highlights include restructuring the Commonwealth Department of Administrative Services (DAS), preparing the Queensland energy market for full retail contestability and the development of branding and naming strategies for Orica and Ergon Energy.
In 1980, Ray became the first national marketing director of an Australian professional body, the now 94,000-member CPA Australia. Ray launched the landmark brand campaign - “CPA, not your average accountant”.
Ray spent ten years in the Army (reaching the rank of Major), including eight years managing national marketing and recruitment communications for the Australian Regular Army and the Army Reserve. He completed certificates of business in public relations and advertising at Sydney University.
Ray is National Chair of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) Registered Consultancies Group, sits on the Board of PRIA, and is a member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society.
Ray is a fellow of the PRIA.
Ray regularly presents at business and industry conferences on themes relating to market research, strategic marketing and brand communication.
